IDEC Committee Meeting 20.-22. January 2012



The winter meeting 2012 of the International Development in Europe Committee IDEC, will be held at the
Buchklub, A-1040 Wien, Mayerhofgasse 6, conference room, Vienna, Austria.

The meeting will be perceded by common event organized by Austrian Reading Association and IDEC on
Friday January 20th:
10.00-12.00  - workshop by Jeroen Clemens on “Wiki, Facebook, Twitter et al. – tools for communication, networking and marketing”,
13.00-17.00  - symposium on “Family Literacy – programmes, institutions, lessons learned and suggestions”. (Presentation proposals to be indicated in registration form and sent to Margit Böck).
17.30-18.30  - talk by Gunther Kress on "Literacy in the contemporary landscape of communication"

Saturday, January 21st
9.00 – 15.30  - IDEC Winter meeting.
15.30 – 17.00  - Federation of European Literacy Associations, General Assembly, separate invitation will be sent by FELA chairperson Gerry Shiel;

Sunday, January 22nd
9.00-13.00  - IDEC-FELA joint meeting, IDEC Winter meeting continues

Common dinners on 20nd and 21st are planned, place to be announced.
